SurfAid

SurfAid is an international non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health, well-being, and resilience of remote communities connected through surfing. Founded in 1999, it adopts a community-led approach grounded in a “hand up, not a handout” philosophy, empowering local communities to drive sustainable, long-term change. Through clearly defined and continuously evaluated development programs, SurfAid supports communities in strengthening their capacity, expanding opportunities, and building more resilient and self-reliant lives.
