Politeknik Kesejahteraan Sosial (Poltekesos) Bandung is Indonesia’s oldest higher education institution under the Ministry of Social Affairs, with roots tracing back to 1954 and formally established as Sekolah Tinggi Kesejahteraan Sosial (STKS) Bandung in 1964 before transitioning into Poltekesos Bandung in 2019. Located in Bandung, West Java, the institution specializes in social work and social welfare education, offering applied undergraduate and postgraduate programs focused on social rehabilitation, social protection, empowerment, and professional social work practice. Through professional training, applied research, and community engagement, Poltekesos continues to prepare graduates capable of addressing complex social welfare challenges in Indonesia and beyond while advancing its aspiration to become an internationally recognized center for quality social work education.
