Jack McKnight

Jack McNaught

CEO

Jack first went to Indonesia in 2004 to volunteer with an environmental NGO in Bali but soon found himself on a boat to Aceh to contribute to relief efforts after the tsunami. Since then, the pull of Indonesia has continually brought him back, whether it be studying the language, working as a lecturer, managing Australian Government funding or sitting on the committee of the Australia Indonesia Business Council in Victoria. He is also the founder of International Internships. In his sparse spare time, Jack loves surfing and keeping up his Indonesian language.

Indonesia Country Manager

Heidy is passionate about learning & development, especially in the field of intercultural learning and global competence. She has more than 10 years experience working for an intercultural learning organisation for youth and young professionals, and managing student exchange programs. At International Internships, Heidy manages all aspects of the program including student's placement, establishing and maintaining relationships with companies and organisations in Indonesia, and making sure to deliver a meaningful internship programs for all parties being involved. In her free time she enjoys doing puzzles, playing with her nephew and driving around without a specific destination to unwind.

Maya is a dynamic and passionate individual dedicated to the world of education and cultural exchange. Maya's role focuses on working closely with our esteemed university partners, ensuring that participants receive the utmost support in navigating their university requirements. With over a decade of experience in scholarship programs, Maya has established herself as a trusted program manager, fostering strong connections within Australian education. She is a devoted mother of two vibrant boys, fully immersing herself in their activities and creating cherished memories together. In her free time, Maya loves baking - mostly traditional Lebanese sweets.

Dave is an educator by trade and a traveller at heart. He’s also an aspiring travel photographer. He’s on a mission to visit 40 countries before he reaches the sweet age of 40. When he’s not busy planning for his next adventure, Dave likes to find ways to help people reaching their full potential through his work in education. Dave has extensive experience working in community development with NGOs across Indonesia. With his passion in education, tourism, and intercultural understanding, Dave is now making sure all interns have the best experience at International Internships as the Participants Engagement Manager.

Indah has spent most of her career in a modest fashion company. Having assumed multiple positions and contributed to the company's growth, Indah stepped out of her comfort zone to immerse herself in an area she is passionate about, learning and development. In her free time, Indah enjoys getting lost in books, painting and playing the piano, and hopes that one day she can collaborate with some brands. As a Placement Coordinator at International Internships, Indah strives to make sure that every student finds the best host organisation and get the best knowledge and experience.

Fueled by her passion for languages and Chinese Studies, Kamielah embarked on a career journey from the realms of travel and tourism to the dynamic landscape of technology sales. Since high school, she has been an active volunteer in organizing student exchange programs, cultivating a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. Currently, as a Participant Engagement Manager at International Internships, Kamielah seamlessly channels her enthusiasm for cross-cultural experiences into ensuring interns embark on the best possible journey. Outside of work, she enjoys hanging out with friends and exploring unique cafes.

Rosie Murphy

Marketing Coordinator

Rosie is our Marketing Coordinator for International Internships. Her interest in the Australia-Indonesia space started as a teenager in high school, learning Bahasa Indonesia and she continued all through university. She has enjoyed a variety of programs, including ACICIS, and is an AIYEP alumni from 2021. Rosie holds a Bachelor of Global Studies and a Diploma in Languages in Indonesian. Alongside working with International Internships, she works as a Digital Marketing Consultant for other Australia-Indonesia related programs such as AIYEP and AIMEP, and companies focused on global competence. Rosie loves travelling and has spent quite a bit of time in Indonesia, but hopes to continue to explore more.

Rina is passionate about empowering students through international internships. With expertise in Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) from Deakin University in Melbourne and a global career spanning several countries since her own Singapore internship, she understands the transformative power of international experiences. Her deep connection to Indonesia, through heritage, language, and travel, inspires her to share its beauty and culture with students, contributing to authentic internship experiences that foster professional growth and cultural insights.

Placement & Program Support

Nisa is currently based just outside of Jakarta. She has been working in various industries such as education, entertainment, property management, etc, making her the jack of all trades in terms of professional skills. However, she has always been passionate about education and community development. Her role at International Internships is communicating with students and coordinating with the Placement Team to prepare for the upcoming internships. Nisa loves to travel and try adventurous dishes, although Indonesian food will always win her heart (and stomach!). In her free time, she loves to free-dive and just relax at home with her family.

Finance Coordinator

Before working at International Internships, Sally was a Finance Coordinator at an International NGO for around 9 years. She helped to provide intercultural learning opportunities to assist people to develop their knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world through a student exchange program. As our newest member to the International Internships team, she is excited for a new adventure for me to help facilitate cultural exchange and internships. In her spare time, Sally loves running, and can't live without it!

Andini Yuvita

Program Communications & Support Officer

Andin has always been passionate about education and community development. She thrives on witnessing others' growth and actively contributes to their development. Her journey with International Internships began by doing a team internship through them, where she was inspired by the organisation’s mission—this led her to join the team. Beyond her role in student communication and program support at International Internships, Andin channels her enthusiasm for environmental conservation through volunteering with local communities. Outside of work, she finds joy in reading and dancing, reflecting her vibrant spirit and dedication to both personal and professional growth.

Dilla Imanina

Placement Officer

Dilla has a strong passion for cultural exchange during her studies in Malaysia, where she engaged with diverse communities and global perspectives. Her journey with International Internships began as a Team Intern, where she was deeply impressed by how the organization operates, leading her to continue her career as Placements Admins. Now, as part of the Placements Team, she helps students secure host placements and facilitates communication with host organizations to ensure a seamless internship experience. Outside of work, Dilla loves to travel and explore different coffee cultures, making café hopping one of her favorite activities as she discovers unique coffee spots and new environments.
