PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) is a joint venture established in 2015 by Indonesian state owned enterprises and Chinese railway companies to develop and operate Indonesia’s high speed rail system. As the operator of the Whoosh high speed train, KCIC aims to enhance connectivity, reduce transportation congestion, and support regional and national economic growth. The project is part of a National Strategic Project and operates through a financing structure combining shareholder investment and external funding.
