Badan Riset dan Inovasi Nasional (BRIN) is Indonesia’s central government agency responsible for research, development, and innovation at a national level. Established in 2019 and strengthened as a non-ministerial body reporting directly to the President, BRIN integrates previously separate research institutions to create a unified national research ecosystem. It conducts and coordinates scientific research, technological development, and innovation across diverse fields, supporting evidence-based policy, advancing scientific capabilities, and driving sustainable national development.
