Cross-cultural team projects & seminars
You will work in small cross-cultural teams with students from Australian and Indonesian universities on real-world projects assigned to you by the Jakarta Property Institute.
During a range of industry-hosted seminars and workshops you will take initiative to obtain the information you need to complete your host projects. These sessions will give you access to experts including:
- Construction and development industries
- Sustainable and renewable building experts
- Australian & Victorian government operations
- Indonesian government organisations (Jakarta Smart City and United Cities – Local Governments)
On the final day of the program each team will present the outcomes of your projects.
Jakarta
The Great Jakarta Metropolitan area (Jabodetabek:, which is a catch-all name for the cities making up the megalopolis – Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi) has an estimated population of over 35.4 million people. The rapid growth has brought many challenges, including the infamous traffic, but Jakarta is definitely a place on the move with an amazing buzz! For more information about Jakarta, watch the short video above or read more here.
