Jin is Tiainjin's most well known and leading expat magazine, printed in both English and Korean. The magazine focuses mainly on lifestyle in the city of Tianjin. Shows, entertainment, where to eat and drink, and basically living as an expat are the main elements. However business and the economy also feature. A small working environment is only one of the advantages of this placement!
Your Role:
Working in the office, having input into what goes into the magazine, balancing the conflicts of speed and quality as per the printing industry, communication with colleagues especially regarding the quality of manuscripts.
Some of the work that you can expect to do includes:
- Ensuring all summaries and reports contain correct grammar and spelling
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the line manager
- Based on the ability and preference, choose the column and content
- Communicate with editor for the content and details on time, ensure the time and quality of manuscripts
- Based on the edit orientation given by editor, edit and hand in manuscripts on time.
Requirements:
Majors: Tertiary education level in humanities, communication or journalism.
Language: Only English is required.
Other: Be hard working, enthusiastic, and ready to take initiative, good communication skills, and interpretation of raw materials into fluent English, quick and efficient editing skills.
