Human Rights Promotion
|
The Centre for Human Rights Studies of the Islamic University of Indonesia (Pusham UII) seeks to improve human rights in Indonesia through education. The Centre believes that there is a lack of understanding in Indonesia of what human rights are and consequently a lack of knowledge of how these rights can be upheld. It believes that universities and governments play a crucial role in rectifying this, both through the sharing of knowledge and conceptualisation of human rights in terms of international human rights instruments and also local values and community expectations.
Your Role:
Your role will be highly diverse and enable you to experience the range of activities and campaigns that Pusham UII is involved in. In addition to working on current research projects relating to Human Rights, you will also take part in the following:
- Human Rights Socialization and Campaign
- Human Rights Training
- Human Rights Academic and Theoretical Studies
- Human Rights Monitoring and Advocacy
- Helping the staff at Pusham UII to improve their English
- Be involved in publications issued by Pusham UII
Requirements:
Majors: All welcome to apply.
Language: Only English is required, but at least some Indonesian is preferred.
Other: Those with an interest in Human Rights protection and promotion are encouraged to apply!
