Women’s Rights and Crisis Support NGO

This NGO was established through the courage of several female activists in Yogyakarta over 20 years ago. The activists wanted to provide support for female survivors of violence and arose from a deep concern about the tendencies of patriarchal culture, which empowers men and weakens the position of women, making them vulnerable to rape, sexual harassment and domestic violence.

In addition to providing services for survivors of violence, the NGO has recently also become a center for human resource development in the elimination of violence against women in Indonesia.
