Victorian Government Trade and Investment

Research Intern

This Australian state has offices in approximately a dozen or more key trading countries to support companies from the state looking to do business around the world.

The office in Jakarta aims to promote products and companies from this particular state in Indonesia. This includes organising trade missions and official delegations, hosting and attending cultural events, and sponsoring conferences in Indonesia. It also provides advice and contacts for businesses from the state looking to invest in Indonesia and develop their businesses.

Your Role:

In your role as a Research Intern, you may be involved in the following:

  • Developing bespoke trade programs for companies wishing to enter the Indonesian market.
  • Establishing and maintaining broad and effective Indonesian business networks.
  • Developing and managing a database of key stakeholders and clients.
  • Assisting companies to plan and execute their market development activities in Indonesia.
  • Managing contracts for research projects and/or preparing market-focused industry reports.
  • Working with key partners and stakeholders to promote the capability of this state’s companies and industry to an Indonesian audience.
