ProBuddy Program

Mau Menjadi ProBuddy Untuk Mahasiswa Asing?

Experience a new perspective of life, develop professional skills and meet new people! By joining International Internships’ ProBuddy program, you will be a mentor and friend for an Australian university student, so that they can comfortably adjust to life in Indonesia.

As a successful ProBuddy you will be able to practice your English, attend CV workshops and attend events, including weekend trips outside of Jakarta. You will also receive a certificate on completion of the program.

This is available to any Indonesian University student with intermediate-level English language skills, but more importantly a fun, outgoing, enthusiastic personality and a love of meeting new people.

What will you receive from this program?

Certificate

Each International Internships ProBuddy will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the program.

Practice Your English

A perfect chance for those that want to improve their English language skills, especially conversational, as each international student will be a native English speaker.

Networking

There will be various professional networking opportunities for you to meet with professionals in Jakarta.

Weekend Trips, Meals and Events

Each ProBuddy will be invited to attend a weekend trip with their assigned international buddy and throughout the program there will be a variety of meals and events provided, at no cost to you.

CV Development

We will provide a 1-on-1 CV workshop for each ProBuddy, to improve your chances of getting your dream job after you graduate.

Workshops and Special Presentations

There will be a variety of workshops and special presentations provided to ProBuddies and international students throughout the program.

Professional Reference

Each ProBuddy will receive a professional reference from International Internships upon request.

What are the requirements to be a ProBuddy?

This is what you will have to do as a ProBuddy:
1 airport pick-up (usually on a Saturday)
Attend 1 orientation lunch and afternoon activity (usually on a Sunday)
Participate in professional workshops – (some weeknights)
Attend other international internships events, such as social gatherings or special presentations

Note that costs for all of the above are covered by International Internships.

ProBuddy Selection Process

  • Follow the link below to apply for the ProBuddy program. You will need to include your CV and a statement of why you wish to join the program
  • We will review your application and respond within two weeks so please wait for a confirmation email
  • Successful applicants will be invited to attend the ProBuddy Welcome Day (note: this is a compulsory part of the program)

Important: Applications will be open in rounds. However, priority will be given to Pro-Buddies that apply in Round 1.
