We may not be able to travel overseas this year but you can still get global professional work experience, credit towards your studies and a boost for your future career by working interactively in online internship with an Indonesian organisation selected specifically to suit you.
The International Internships team will up-skill you to work remotely with a multi-lingual, cross-cultural organisation taking on challenging real-world work you will be proud to include on your CV.
Internships can be part-time and hours flexible to fit with coursework, part-time jobs or family commitments.
Government grants and university scholarships are available to some students, contact us to find out if you qualify.
All online internships include:
- A consultative process to tailor your internship to suit your studies, course credit requirements, your personal interests and your availability
- Immersive orientation sessions about Indonesia’s geography and culture, history, diverse regional relationships and global connections
- Interactive training in cross-cultural communications and remote working skills
- Language lessons to equip you with basic skills for working with an Indonesian organisation
- Introduction to an Indonesian student buddy to help you develop your people-to-people relationships
- Regular catch-ups with our Australian and Indonesian-based support teams providing you with guidance, support and constructive feedback
- Online social events including: interactive cooking classes, movie discussion nights, craft and culture sessions and weekend virtual visits to Indonesian tourist sights
- Professional development seminars and interactive workshops with international experts
- Networking events to help you grow your industry connections
- One-on-one career guidance at the conclusion of your program to help you build a solid CV and online professional profile
Tailored professional work experiences which you undertake online for an overseas organisation specifically selected to suit your studies and career aspirations. You will work as though you were part of the business, closely supported by our teams in Oz and Indonesia. Program duration and workload are flexible and include a week of online orientation sessions to get you confident and competent in basic language, remote working and cross-cultural skills.
Duration: 4-weeks up to a full semester
Structured, scheduled experiences where you work remotely within a small team of students on a defined assignment for an overseas organisation. Project direction from management is supplemented by regular engagement with your team-mates towards presenting your project outcomes at the conclusion of the program. These can be full-time or part-time depending on availability and team preference. All include orientation and cultural sessions.
