About us
The International Internships programs are based on our belief that there is no substitute for an in country internship experience, working alongside locals of a country and doing things in their way. However, it is difficult to organize such an experience problems often arise when the planning is done from outside of the destination country .
Therefore, the primary goal of International Internships is to make the process simpler and more effective for you. Our representatives have strong relationships with lots of great organizations in each of the countries and are able to find you a placement that matches your skills, interests and ambitions. We then work with the organization prior to your arrival to develop a program for you to ensure that you get the most out of your time there.
As well as finding you a good internship site, International Internships does everything possible to ensure that you experience as much of the culture of your chosen country as possible and that you have all the support you need to make you feel confident and safe the whole time you are there. We have a team on the ground in each country whose job it is to look after you.
From the moment that they meet you at the airport until when they drop you off at the end, they will be there to share their culture with you and answer any questions that you might have. They are also available all day every day to help in the event of an emergency.
International Internships was started largely as a reaction to the companies out there that offer an in country experience that inevitably falls short of expectations. At International Internships, we do not cut corners. We pride ourselves on the satisfaction that participants of our programs feel when they return from their internships.

Team in Australia
Jack McNaught
Jack will be your first point of contact within Australia and will help you to organise everything to make sure that you are ready to go. He is also in regular contact with the teams in India, China and Indonesia, so will advise you of their progress in finding your internship site and pass on any other information you need to know.
Jack is also a lecturer at Deakin University and is a Board member of the Australia Indonesia Business Council and an active member of both the Australia India Business Council and Australia China Business Council. He also has a wide range of experience living and working abroad, including China, Indonesia and India. Some highlights were his time in Bali, where he was the Director of a grant from Aus Aid to help small businesses become established, and Finance Director in the Aceh relief effort, which involved time in Aceh to oversee aid distribution in the weeks following the Boxing Day tsunami.
Colette Leber
 Colette helps Jack to manage various stages of your preparation in the time prior to your departure. Colette is currently near the end of a social work degree at RMIT and spent a lot of time abroad during a two year break prior to commencing her university studies. Since this time, she has done volunteer work in Australia and India and has met the International Internships team in both India and Indonesia, so will be a valuable help during your preparation.
